Chicago

On Wednesday July,16th we went to Chicago to see my uncle Bill. On Monday we went to the zoo that was free because uncle Bill and aunt Nancy were members. When we had had enough of the zoo we went back home did some video games and a popsicle.

Aunt Maureen

On July 9th 2008 my aunt Maureen died of very sudden illness. She leaved my uncle Gery 24 years. She was 47 when she died. When my parents told me the news I was shocked. You know what I mean it is very unlikely that a person 47 years old is going to die. So now that I've thought about it a little I could understand that uncle Gery had a lot on his plate taking care of three children. When we went to the wake I had to where some shinny black shoes. I cried a little. Then a funeral home person told us what was going on he told the family to come with him to see the dead body,and told us to wait in the room we where in. Finally it was the day of the funeral we said prayers and said poems. After the funeral was over we went to a buffet to celebrate the funeral being over. I was so happy that I did not have to feel sad about it. yes I still would have memories of her but I was happy that it was over.

space

This week is space week. So we made a space game that you need to get to the next space to practice our space skills about space. We read some books about the subject to learn more about space. Then we made some moon pies also known as whoopie pies. At the end we tested them they were too sweet.

Yestueday

On Tuesday I tried to make a circle out of paper. At first I thought that it was going to take forever. I thought that I would try to trace the shape of the muffin tin. So then I thought that I would use my spirograph. Then I decided to trace a cup. But I thought that the cup shape would be too big. So I got some construction paper to draw circles and then I thought that I would make a bottom circle and put other strings of paper around the bottom circle. So we found out that the big circle worked

Math

This summer me and mom are doing something different then just plain summer camp. This year I am staying home for most of the summer. Here is a showing of what we do. In the morning I stay upstairs and read for a while. While I am doing that my mom is getting work done. At eleven o'clock we get together to do the subject of the week. This week is math week so we did some math things like reading math books doing work sheets and checking the diameter of some things.

Last time at computer club I fell in the snow 16 times! One of the times I got stuck on a rock and my boot was stuck in the rock. I was hopping on my foot soaking wet. So I asked Merick to help.
